Grew up between Turin and the manouche gatherings of southern France. Studied in Strasbourg with direct pupils of Stochelo Rosenberg. Three records out, regular touring in Italy and Europe. In class he likes to start from the Hot Club de France records: listen first, then play.
Specialised in la pompe manouche — the rhythm engine that makes everything else work. Leads the club's weekly ensembles and jam sessions. Endlessly patient with beginners, exactly as strict as needed about time.
